Pathways school of philosophy

Test your philosophical ability

We would like you to compose six questions which in your view would make a good philosophy test. The aim of the test is to enable the person taking it to demonstrate his or her philosophical ability. The questions should not require any prior knowledge of philosophy.

Also, we would like you to explain in around 50-250 words why you chose each question: why do you think it would make a good question to ask? what point are you trying to make? The best questions will be selected for the next Pathways test.

This is also a test of your philosophical ability. One of the most important traits of a philosopher is the ability to formulate original questions. The explanations are important, because they show the process of your thinking. Try to express yourself clearly and succinctly.

This service is offered courtesy of the Pathways School of Philosophy, the independent distance learning project run by the International Society for Philosophers.
